 - Chase the Player, Pursue the Space -

• Most of the time on D you will follow a player around the field.
• I hope that you know to cut off any angles, not go all the way to the sideline and other places of inelligibility, and generally save your steps as much as possible.
• When the player you are covering is running around they will either be going to a space where they are likely to receive a pass or they will just be going.
• When they are entering a receiving area you should stop chasing the player and start pursuing the space.
• The Space is the area or path between the thrower and where the receiver will try to catch the disc.
• Attempt to cut off the flight path of the disc rather than watching the offense catch another pass right in front of you.
